Plan and supervise the maintenance activities of a wide range of instrument & control systems in the plant and coordinate these activities with operations and other maintenance teams to ensure reliable functioning of the instrument and control systems.
Maintenance Planning, Execution and expertise
Provide support to the operations and maintenance teams for equipment testing, troubleshooting, routine equipment surveillance and start-up activities. Liaise with Mechanical and Electrical team and establish a seamless integration between operation and maintenance teams to ensure compliance to the planned maintenance activities.
Provide technical support in the field for the execution of critical maintenance activities of the equipments to ensure that the problems are resolved with minimum down time.
Evaluate, allocate and arrange the manpower requirements for daily preventive, break down and shutdown maintenance plans.
Assess the workload, backlog and the work plan and coordinate with relevant sections to complete the work plan. Monitor and arrange the resources for the effective compliance to the agreed work plan.
Monitor and control required material, spares, consumables and tools in high quality and quantities to ensure continuous availability.
Conduct and implement root cause analysis of equipment failures and non-scheduled shutdowns and recommend problem resolutions to increase the reliability and availability of equipment
Provide input to prepare and track the forthcoming major maintenance, upgrades and obsolescence issues to integrate with the division’s 5 years’ rolling business plans
Provide technical support for development, implementation and commissioning of new projects in the mechanical design and specifications to optimize costs and ensure compliance with applicable standards and best practices.
Participate in defining the technical requirements, technical bid evaluation and inspection of materials on receipt to ensure specifications and required quality.
Monitor the performance of Contractors for the assigned works to ensure quality and standards.
Preparation of HIRA, raising temporary concession and permanent management of change (minor and major) as per plant operation requirement
Carryout out root cause analysis for the failure, implementation of the recommendations raised at different levels
Review and ensure that HSECES job plans are appropriate, available and properly assigned for all the PMs in Maximo and ensure the data quality.
Conduct internal PM Audits to ensure effectiveness of procedure and job plan implementation.
Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective functional objectives.
Provide input for preparation of the Section / Team / Department budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver functional objectives.
Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.

Implement approved Section / Team / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company and International standards.
Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations.

Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with best Industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices
Provide inputs to prepare MIS and progress reports for Company Management
Regular work related contact with concerned Section / Team Leader and Department Manager as required, peer Professional staff and team members on matters related to Team / Section Policies and Processes, People, HSE and domain specific issues.
Rotating equipment Engineers, Operation Coordinators, Technical Service Team, HSE advisors, Area Central Maintenance Team / Section Leaders and Engineers (Work shop, Civil, Electrical, Planning, Control and DCS), Support maintenance (Planning & Shutdown).
Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of plant machines, third part services providers for spare parts & specialist manpower and vendors.
Bachelor Degree in Instrumentation and Control or Electronics discipline or equivalent professional qualification.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
6 years of experience in Instrument and Control engineering and maintenance with full knowledge of HSE in a plant environment within a large industrial organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
Deep knowledge of implementation & maintenance of instrument & control engineering function's policies with working knowledge or activities such as testing, repairing, calibration and troubleshooting of the Instrumentation Control systems
Awareness of designing in-house engineered works including drawings, specifications/ data sheets
Knowledge of CMMS (SAP/Maximo)
Awareness of international standards and engineering best practices related to oil & Gas industry
Demonstrated skills in the commissioning, operation and maintenance of control systems
Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills
Knowledge of HSE procedures & practices
Planning and Organising, Scheduling and Co-ordinating, Checking, Examining and Recording
