The PR & Marketing Assistant will assist in executing the Marketing and Public Relations strategies as well as compiling reports and managing promotions and collecting relevant content to reach target markets and audiences. The PR & Marketing Assistant will be responsible for responding to press inquiries, meeting and greeting journalists, monitoring and reporting press coverage, as well as handling ticket requests for the media, VIPs and Charities. The position will also work closely and collaboratively with the rest of Marketing Team in providing Internal and External Communications support. Scope of the Role: Manage and attend photo shoots, filming, and press visits. Monitor and report PR coverage and competitors activities. Work closely with the PR Agency to produce coverage reports and statistics. Organize, manage and attend media interviews with spokespeople. Create marketing materials where appropriate to support the role of PR (press releases/media packs, etc.). in collaboration with the in-house graphic designer. Take responsibility for the day-to-day activities of the communications function including budgeting, planning, and working with the team. Work with the digital team to maximize and update electronic communications in relation to PR, marketing and new media. Manage and oversee the production of Marketing collateral. Maintain relationships with media vendors and publishers to ensure collaboration in promotional activities. Perform other miscellaneous support functions as required (raising PR, reports, etc.). Assist in updating and managing web content and social media channels. Evaluate competitor websites and review feedback (such as TripAdvisor). To represent the attraction at consumer and trade shows, when required. Ensure marketing folders, imagery and videos are up-to-date and easy to find. Handle ticket requests for VIPs, press etc. and ensure tickets are issued and distributed. Qualifications Related Business Administration, Marketing, or Journalism degree/certificate. Essential: 1-2 years’ experience working in a PR agency, preferably as a PR Account Executive Desirable: Experience working in the leisure, tourism or theme park industry Exposure to a busy marketing department Essential: Understanding Marketing and Public Relations and how can be used to develop awareness. Experienced in developing PR content. Experienced in dealing in monitoring the media, including newspapers, magazines, journals, broadcasts, newswires for coverage ad opportunities. Ability to provide marketing/ PR reporting. Excellent communicator. Outstanding copywriting and proofing skills. Experience in using analytic tools. Proficiency in writing, speaking, and understanding English and Arabic languages. Desirable: Ability to multi-task, adapt and react to a fast changing environment.
