The Upstream Geo-Analytics will support the multidiscipline teams with geospatial data and workflows, data integrity management, geospatial analytics best practices, QA/QC and reporting, and the progression of geospatial data standards and solutions to meet business needs.
This role is accountable for the silent running of Geospatial Data operations by providing expertise and guidance on geospatial data management and analytics, prompting and implementing data standards and resolving geospatial data management, migration, integration, and data quality issues.
Provide technical GSDM support in the implementation of portal for ArcGIS program components. The role will implement improvements to Geospatial Data management practices and processes and ensure context, quality, accessibility, performance, and capability goals are met.
Manage geospatial data across file systems and SDE on SQL Server to deliver regional geospatial data products and services in both desktop/web-based applications and hard copy format.
Assist and support teams in applying advanced geospatial data analytics, reporting and visualization techniques in support of business priorities.
Adhering to the Survey & Geospatial Standards for internal/external data and the risk of incorporating this data onto maps and ADNOC data repositories. Promoting naming conventions, industry standard acronyms, codes, units of measure and symbols. Recognizing, fixing errors and inconsistences in data and fundamental workflows while managing implications of moving data and maps for avoiding data connection issues in the management of Geospatial Data.
The structure of various Geospatial data formats (shapefile, geodatabase, raster, tabular, tin, etc.), and how to edit data in SDE Geodatabases. Know how and when to apply datum transformation, recognize, trouble-shoot and repair coordinate reference issues in existing datasets and how to determine which projection was likely used for an historic dataset.
Import/export of data between ArcGIS and other Engineering and Geoscience applications, including using FME and related tools. Following standard rules for documenting the source, accuracy and timeliness of imported data. Developing tools for data import/export of geospatial data where needed, being cognizant of the tools that already exist.
Reading and modify the display properties of raster datasets for basic analysis. Performing spatial analysis with vector/raster data, including generation surfaces from point data, calculating isopachs and drawing contours with the awareness of the available toolsets and be able to choose the best tool for a particular application. Advising engineering and geoscience professionals on the use of Geospatial data for analysis and use of existing tools to combine data and infill missing data.
The concept of spatial analysis, and what the software is capable of running simple analysis tools, creating basic models to automate simple workflows moving toward advanced models to automate complex geoscience workflows, basic scripting languages for editing attributes, writing short script for data manipulation and data QC.

Managing the ADNOC One GIS Portals, the content within the portals, and the organization and presentation of data, maps, apps and dashboards.
Actively communicating and promoting the purpose and benefits of information and data management and data analytics, engaging and effectively managing stakeholders.
Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.
Provide input for preparation of the Department/ Section budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.
Implement approved Department / Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Department / Section’s work programs in line with Company and International standards.
Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations.
Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Department / Section in line with the Company Performance framework.
Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices
Provide inputs to prepare the progress reports for Company Management
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum of a relevant Bachelor's degree, GIS, Geographic Science, Computer Science, Survey & Geomatics Engineering, or related field.
Prior experience (10+ years) in hands-on delivery of Geospatial data and project support across multiple diverse E&P user environments.
Knowledge of various internal and external data sources and how these apply to E&P business workflows: IHS, Drilling Info, Wood Mackenzie, USGS, etc.
Advanced knowledge of Geodesy with specific reference to coordinate reference systems and Geomatics transformations, projections, datums and cartography. Expert knowledge of ESRI platform (ArcGIS Desktop, Server, Catalog) and other applicable Geospatial tools such as Blue Marble, etc.
Advanced knowledge of geospatial database schemas including PODS, SSDM, STUDIO SCAN, etc.
Knowledge of ETL tools and programming languages, such as FME and Python.
Knowledge of creating, publishing, and managing map or feature services in ArcGIS Server.
Knowledge of data management software, including Toad or SQL Server Management Studio.
Knowledge of ArcGIS spatial analyst, 3D analyst and ArcToolbox.
Working knowledge of other E&P technology including Openworks, Decision Space, PPDM (EnergyIQ Trusted Data Manager), and how they interact with GIS.
Working knowledge of OGP and ISO geospatial standards.
Coordinate with GIS Personnel in other OpCOs to ensure that corporate-wide datasets are up to date and accurate.
Outreach to GIS users in the organization for training, technical support, and support of self-service mapping.
Effective management of cross-functional workloads and ability to identify business priorities.
