Mediclinic Middle East is hiring a Maintenance Coordinator in Mediclinic Al Noor. The Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for all aspects of building and equipment maintenance, improvements and upgrades to the Hospital, Clinics and other facilities/ units to ensure the Hospital, Clinics and other facilities/ units within the portfolio are able to fully function and standards are maintained at all times, promoting a professional and positive image to patients and stakeholders. The Maintenance Coordinator will also provide technical expertise to ensure the upkeep of all the facility related machineries and services, while ensuring the Mediclinic Middle East asset management register system is updated and maintained. Requirements Requirements Education and Qualifications: • A Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification as minimum requirement • 5-8 years’ experience of which at least 2 years must be in a facilities maintenance environment and 1 year of management experience. • Experience in a hospital, hotel or similar environment is advantageous. • Experience in planned maintenance, facilities management, construction and or fit-out projects preferred. • Project Supervision and problem solving. • Must be willing to travel to support all Mediclinic Middle East facilities Skills/Abilities/Experience: • Have an understanding of Electrical/Mechanical engineering and basic building principles in order to carry out a range of maintenance tasks for a hospital environment. • Maintain documentation for work orders and complete work orders properly within the required time frames. • Responsible for repairs, maintains machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, air conditioners, etc…, taking into consideration materials, cost, time and works method. • Mechanical knowledge related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC and all types of troubleshooting for these areas. • Performs all tasks using appropriate Safety, Infection Control and EHS procedures and processes as outlined in department guidelines • Performs preventative maintenance based on manufacturing warrantee and the unit facility schedules. • An ability to carry out electrical portable appliance testing or willingness to undertake training and achieve certification upon commencement. • Ability to assess and diagnose faults on complex building services plant and equipment • On a daily basis work on wards and other healthcare properties in order to provide a well-maintained, clean, physically safe, accessible and welcoming environment for patients, staff and visitors. • Well organized, meticulous, disciplined, dependable and punctual Competency: • Establish and maintain effective work relationships with the Government Authorities • Establish and maintain effective work relationships with vendor and external maintenance companies. • Demonstrates behavior that promotes positive customer relations with employees, patients and visitors • Communication flow is maintained on inter- and intra-departmental level • Proactive and approachable. • Able to communicate well in English, Arabic is advantageous, both verbally and written to produce reports and work with colleagues across all business units. Key Outputs • Work with the current Engineering Team to ensure the Hospital, Clinics and other facilities/ units are properly maintained to Mediclinic standards and documentation. • Provide ongoing day-to-day maintained and facility management for the portfolio. • Prioritize, schedule, assign, direct, supervise and evaluate the work of the maintenance team. • Operate and supervise the repair, maintenance and use of electrical, mechanical and electromechanical equipment. • Assistance with new projects including clinic and hospital expansions, department alterations, fit-out and interior works. • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering diagrams, sketches and plans necessary to identify and define work assignments, standards, tools, materials and equipment. • Commissioning of new departments and units upon completed. • Ensure ongoing Needs for upgrades and improvements are identified and motivated based on factual information • Feasibility studies for small projects are conducted, discussed and approved as per policy • Work with to understand client requirements are incorporated where feasible • Project supervision, from concept to commissioning, is performed as per set project management guidelines and relevant policies and procedures • Building plans are approved as per government authority, MCME policy and procedure • Process/ functional/ Employee performance is measured against standards and corrective action is taken where necessary • Technical processes are optimized (i.e. planned maintenance, facility utilization, asset management) • Risks are identified and controls are implemented • Audits are conducted to ensure that risk management is implemented in the Hospital, Clinics and other facilities/ units • Operational and capital budgets are prepared and managed • Feasibility studies are conducted • Is actively involved in the development of the Engineering Team by organizing and conducting Training, Safety and Quality Programs to uplift the employees • Work with the Engineering Manager for Technical Operations for on the job training and development in order to carry out duties and responsibilities while learning the role and progressing within the organization.
